This WAS my favorite Nav App but since update crashes in the middle of trips and wiped out all my favorites when I tried the usual uninstall and try again fix - that didnt even solve the crashing problem. Now forced to use Google maps. Ugh!

After spending $70 (basic app plus traffic), on first use it crashed twice before I stopped using it. Want to ask for my money back!!!!

This app worked very well at first, but doesnt work after each update to IOS. It takes one or three Fixes by Garmin before it will work, until the next update then the cycle starts again. It shuts off after a minute or two now, every minute or two. Garmin needs to get their PAID App fixed and keep up with it.

After the latest update the app does not stay on screen more than a minute. Cant be used if I cant see it. I have the traffic subscription.

The app is choppy on bluetooth

Update: with the latest IOS 10 release, the app doesnt recognize my favorites. The iCloud still shows the data, but all of my favorites saved over the last several years are unavailable in the app. Absolutely horrible. Initially, IOS 10 killed the Garmin app. This new Garmin release gets things going again. You do have to delete the old program and reload. Be sure you backup data to iCloud. It takes about 30 minutes to get everything re-downloaded. I think its worth it as I prefer this over Waze and other apps. Waze lets Tom Dick and Harry post alerts and on using it while Garmin was down, only 15% of their alerts were accurate. I see several negative posts, but this is working for me.

Nov 21; Still quits to springboard, icons still not scaled correctly. Following their directions of a full reinstall does not in fact work. Still amateur hour. This is becoming a safety issue. Oct 30: Updated app would not stay launched. Immediately returns to home screen. This app will only work with a complete reinstall. This means all data and settings are zeroed out. If you want to upgrade, turn on iCloud syncing and then you will be able to restore favorites. In the new version 2.11, map pin icons are not implemented correctly - iOS apps need 1x, 2x, and 3x icon sizes, they seem to have supplied only the 3x and they dont scale down. Mis-drawn on the nav screen, mostly unreadble in the waypoint save process. Amateur hour. Oct 7: Once again, Garmin fails to keep up with known iOS changes. 10 has been in beta to developers for several months, and released to the public for a month now. Still, basic display items and UI responsiveness has not kept up. In landscape mode - Icons appear in the middle of the nav screen, obscuring details, the main menu is drawn half size and missing several key icons. Likely they hard coded things rather than using the APIs and the known calls in xCode. These are rookie mistakes. This is a five star app if and when it works as advertised. This is too long to wait for an update - most devs had iOS app updates with in hours or days.

... which was useful to add custom voices and vehicles. You used to be able to do this directly from the old street pilot app, but now you cant do it at all. Some of the new UI changes have also resulted in disproportionate font sizes and misaligned fonts in the UI.

They need to fix this issue! Im using it on an iPhone 6 Plus, after the update was installed it still crashes going back on the home screen. Fix, fix, fix....

That last update fixed a lot of if not all the issues I was having. Had to delete the app and reinstall it lost all saved sites but no big deal I remember how to get there now. My question is will there be an Apple Watch compatible version. That would be smoking. Garmin you ROCK.

It keeps crashing! Uninstall and re-install the app doesnt help. GARMIN, WHY DO YOU HATE YOUR CUSTOMERS SO MUCH? P.S. The app seems okay if Traffic Service and trafficTrends options are off. It would be nice if somebody from Garmin tested the app before releasing it to customers...

New update 2.11.1 keep crashing the app while an app running often.... bad........

Latest version of the app closes repeatedly during use. During a 1 hour drive today, the app closed over a dozen times. Usually it will recall the destination and resume, but not always. Please fix!

This is a safety issue. Every time I use this app it crashes. I could be coming up on the turn in the app crashes and it is very dangerous to try to get it to come back up. When I get it back up it crashes again. I have used this application for years and this is very disappointing to see the lack of support you are giving it.

I have been a loyal Garmin user for over a decade. Its time for me to part ways with this app however. My biggest complaint is the map file. Its 1.7gig and every time the app updates... it erases the old file and forces you to redownload. No choices, no options just open the app and presto "no map loaded". Pretty much happens to me every time I get off a plane and need to find my way to the hotel. Come on Garmin... every single one of your competitors has figured out how to put the large maps in the cloud. I know why you guys dont though, its because you are too cheap to hire real web developers, thats painfully obvious from your arcane web tools for your hardware devices. Your lucky your avionics are keeping you relevant otherwise youd be done. Wake up and get with the times.

The best part of this app is loading the maps on my phone. Even if I dont get any service the GPS is all I need to carry on.

12-10-2016 Still cannot use my map, shut down after 2 minutes minimum wiles using iPhone 6 . A refund should be administered

12-14-2016: just updated. I am running IOS 10.2 on IPhone 6 Plus with 128 memory. I am very disappointed in Garmin. I loved this app before recent IOS updates. I could not get this app to open after IOS updates.I have completely deleted this app and reinstalled. It now opens but had this happen to me last week. I was driving on freeway in heart of Los Angles. In the middle of a freeway merge the app just terminated. And it locked up my phone. You just cant stop and reopen app on the freeway. I had to get off freeway and deal with this problem because I was depending on Garmin to get me there. Until Garmin decides to fix this app I am using Waze. Garmin you were a great app, but for some reason you have decided to stop updating this app. I urge people to use Waze. It is dependable. Garmin, you were 5 star app before IOS 10, now 1 star. FIX THIS APP... PLEASE!

I installed iOS 10.1.1 and it fixed it. Works fine now. I deleted garmin app, reloaded app and maps but kept crashing when entered route. Then upgraded to 10.1.1. Works fine now on iPhone 6.

Garmin app crashes after update for IOS 10. The suggested work arounds are unacceptable to me, I'll loose all of my data. Please release another update that will fix the app without my having to uninstall/reinstall and loose my data. I'm currently using a different GPS navigation app (free by the way). I'd prefer to use the Garmin app, but I don't want to loose my data. Give me a way to use the Garmin app I paid for without loosing my data.
